Friday June 16 2017 found me at a season opening event at Bella Acres hosted by Stephanie  Boysen, the owner of this bucolic event venue. Having attended a few Shelton Chamber of Commerce events such as ribbon-cuttings and Business After Hours, I noted Stephanie was a each one enthusiastically supporting  the organizations hosting the event and warmly greeting other local attendees (she's a hugger).  When she invited me out to her mixer, I made it a point to get out there early to see what it was that she was doing because I had a sense that whatever it was, she would have put her whole heart into it and it would be great.

Basically, Stephanie and her family have a beautiful property of several acres, including horse pastures and Christmas tree plantings. What appeared to be 2 or 3 acres off the backyard of the main house has been set aside as a venue for company get-togethers, family celebrations, weddings, parties, etc. ''In addition to renting the property for special events, Stephanie also has a lot of party accessories such as chairs, tables, tents and food service items for rent, available to use in conjunction with rental of the outdoor space, or to be set up at the customer's own location.

The outdoor space is bounded by a beautifully landscaped koi pond and fountain at the upper elevation and a serene horse pasture below. The horses, in addition to being beautiful additions to the scenery are quite friendly and will likely come to the fence to be stroked and petted.  A better mood elevator than Prosac.

Although I'm no expert on entertaining, or party planning, I'm a big fan of natural beauty and a great admirer of genuine, warm-hearted, hard-working people. Based on these observations, I would wholeheartedly recommend contacting Stephanie next time you're in charge of planning an event. I'm certain she will give her all to make your event a success and you a hero with your group.
